It sounded like a great idea, until I won the bid and realized it was in New Jersey. It ended up costing more to have it shipped, than it did to buy it. When I started to strip it down, I found it was originally a KITT ride with working lights in the front end and flashing lights in the dash. Amazingly everything still works. Drop a quarter in the slot and you will hear "Thank you...enjoy your ride" and then the rumble of a V-8 engine. Hold on as the car rocks back and forth for a real Trans Am experience. I was able to remove the coin op mechanism and wire in a simple on/off switch. I will fill in the gap in the rear end and add a rear spoiler. It will be painted red and have Formula decals to match my car. Stay tuned for updates.
